Planning your visit
HBOT requires a prescription. The clinic requires consultation before the first session to review health history and the treatment plan.
Wear clean, comfortable cotton clothing and bring your medication list. Eat a normal light meal unless your treating provider instructs otherwise, and use the restroom before entering the chamber. Call before visiting if you develop fever, congestion or new ear or sinus symptoms. Keep electronics outside the chamber and avoid lotions, oils and makeup according to the clinic’s instructions. Tell staff beforehand about medical devices or special dressings. Staff review personal items, teach ear-pressure equalization and monitor you throughout treatment; report pain or anxiety so pressure changes can slow or pause. Sessions are commonly 60 or 90 minutes, with extra time for check-in, preparation and pressure changes. Discuss wheelchair, transfer and positioning needs before booking. A parent or caregiver accompanies pediatric patients, and both require screening and clearance. Confirm the treatment schedule before arranging travel or lodging.
