Planning your visit
The center arranges a consultation after receiving a referral and the appropriate case documentation. A hyperbaric specialist evaluates your suitability and gives detailed preparation instructions. A hospital gown is provided; avoid hair products, fragrances, makeup, ointments and petroleum products before chamber entry. Watches, smoking materials and items not specifically cleared by staff are prohibited. Tell the technologist about all medications, including non-prescription products. Treatments generally take about two hours, with the schedule tailored to your condition. Staff maintain visual and audio contact, teach ear-pressure equalization, and provide TV, movie or music options.
