Planning your visit
Bring your insurance card, medication list with dosages, prior-surgery information and the date of your last primary-care visit. Patients with diabetes should also bring their latest A1C date and result. Write down your questions and symptoms beforehand. For HBOT, allow up to two and a half hours per visit, including the two-hour treatment. The center provides a cotton gown; other clothing, phones and reading materials are not permitted in the chamber. A hyperbaric specialist monitors the session and communicates by intercom. Television, videos, music and audiobooks are available. Tell staff about illness symptoms or medication changes before your appointment.
