About
Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine - Baptist South is one of five locations of the Baptist Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine and was opened by Baptist Medical Center South. It treats patients with chronic and non-healing wounds, offering hyperbaric oxygen therapy alongside other wound treatments, surgical intervention and specialty equipment. The program lists single-person hyperbaric chambers and private treatment rooms, and its specialists work with patients' own physicians and consult with surgeons, infectious disease specialists and podiatrists.

Planning your visit
Care starts with a wound evaluation and ongoing assessments; outpatient HBOT may require multiple visits. Baptist says visits at its wound care centers may generate separate bills for the facility and for physician or provider services. The program’s physician referral form requests patient demographics and insurance information, recent clinical notes about the wound and a copy of insurance cards if available.
