Planning your visit
A consultation with the clinic's healthcare staff to review medical history, current health conditions and treatment goals is required before the first HBOT session.
HBOT sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes; the clinic lists both 60-minute and 90-minute sessions. Clients wear comfortable clothing and remove items that are not allowed in the chamber, such as jewelry and electronic devices, and staff explain how to equalize ear pressure, for example by yawning, swallowing or chewing gum. Clients lie on a bed inside a transparent chamber that is slowly pressurized with 100% oxygen and may rest, listen to music or watch a movie during the session. The chamber is depressurized gradually at the end, and normal activities can be resumed right away. Depending on the treatment plan, several sessions may be recommended, and staff schedule them with the client. Appointments can be made by phone or email, and the clinic says it tries to accommodate requests outside its standard hours. There is parking in front of the building, with free parking behind it when the front lot is full.
