Planning your visit

Bring your insurance card, medication list, medical history, current conditions, and information about current or past wound treatments to the first appointment. The team evaluates your wound and medical history to determine whether HBOT is appropriate and builds a treatment schedule for your needs. Some insurance plans require a primary-care referral; check your plan when scheduling. HBOT sessions typically last about 90 minutes, with a technician monitoring treatment. You can listen to music, watch television or rest during the session. The practice can coordinate with your home healthcare agency, primary doctor and other specialists.
