Planning your visit
Every HBOT plan begins with a consultation with the medical director to review health history and goals and confirm whether HBOT is appropriate.
Before the first session, patients are screened for contraindications, shown the chamber and taught ear-equalization technique. A typical session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, and the number of sessions depends on the condition being treated. Patients should wear comfortable, clean clothing (the clinic may provide approved garments) and leave lighters, electronics, lotions, perfumes, hair products and other flammable or oil-based items behind. Bring a medication list, and tell staff in advance about a cold, congestion, fever, recent surgery or a change in medication.
