Planning your visit

Visits are scheduled by appointment. At your first visit, the team evaluates your wound and medical history, discusses your daily routine, and develops a treatment plan with you. Bring medical records, your insurance card, and lists of medications and allergies. You will receive treatment instructions after the initial examination. Tell the team before treatment if you are ill or your medications have changed. A provider must evaluate you before HBOT; sessions last 90–120 minutes, with a television available and trained technicians assisting the supervising provider. Patients with diabetes have blood sugar checked at each HBOT visit.
