OCH Regional Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center is a hospital-owned clinic of OCH Regional Medical Center on the hospital's third floor in Starkville, and a member of the Healogics wound care network. It provides wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy for chronic wounds, including diabetic, neuropathic, pressure and ischemic ulcers and burns. Planning your visit
Patients do not need a referral to make an appointment at the center.
The center is on the third floor of the OCH hospital building. The hospital's article on its hyperbaric service says each chamber session takes about one hour; patients lie on a gurney that is rolled into the chamber and can watch a movie during treatment. The hyperbaric technician checks the patient's ears and blood pressure before and after each treatment and stays nearby during the session, talking with the patient through a phone attached to the chamber. The same article says radiation injuries and osteomyelitis usually involve around 40 treatments. Under the hospital's visitor policy, adult outpatients may have one visitor, and pediatric patients may have one parent or guardian and one other adult.
