Planning your visit

SSM Health states that wound care services require a referral by a physician.

The center is in Medical Building 1, the building west of the hospital; Suite 120 is immediately to the right of the main lobby entrance. Parking is available in the Medical Building 2 lot, and the center's brochure notes that valet parking is available. Referring offices can send a completed referral form to the center by fax or call the center directly. SSM Health describes hyperbaric oxygen therapy as an outpatient treatment used together with other treatments, given once a day for about four to six weeks depending on the patient's condition. Patients rest on a bed inside the chamber and breathe 100% oxygen while the pressure is raised, and most sessions last about two hours.
