Planning your visit
The center states that a primary care physician referral is not necessary.
The team reviews your health history, assesses the wound and checks circulation before creating an individual treatment plan. The plan may change as your wound heals, and staff coordinate progress with your referring physician. During HBOT, you can rest or watch television while staff monitor the chamber. Patients and families receive education about wound care, nutrition, diabetes and wound prevention throughout treatment. When a wound heals, staff provide follow-up and prevention instructions.
