Planning your visit
New mHbOT clients have their vital signs checked and a telemedicine visit with a medical provider, and must be cleared before their first session.
New medical clients complete a waiver and health-history form, which Restore emails before the appointment; clients who have not done so are asked to arrive early to fill them out at the studio. Clients who see a specialist such as an oncologist, neurologist, cardiologist or pulmonologist, or who are under care for a health issue or surgery, will likely need medical clearance from their own provider, and Restore posts medical and oncology clearance forms for that provider to complete. Restore asks clients with congestion or sinus or ear issues to wait until symptoms subside. Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes. Clients can sit up or lie down in the chamber, a nurse helps place the nasal cannula, pressurization takes about 10 minutes and depressurization about another 10, and a Restore staff member monitors the client during the session. Restore recommends one or two sessions a day with at least four hours between sessions, a minimum of 10 sessions in total, and 20 to 40 maintenance sessions.
