About

The Wound Care Center at Swedish Hospital in Chicago is part of Endeavor Health's wound care program and is one of two Endeavor Health wound care locations that offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Endeavor Health says its wound care team includes board-certified physicians, podiatrists, infectious disease experts and vascular surgeons who work with certified wound and ostomy nurses and physical therapy specialists. The program treats chronic wounds linked to diabetes, vascular conditions, surgery, radiation therapy and trauma, and sometimes adds HBOT to other treatment for hard-to-heal wounds and radiation tissue damage.

Planning your visit

Care begins with a complete medical history and an assessment of why the wound has not healed, followed by an individualized care plan. For wound-related HBOT, the program requires at least 30 days of conventional wound treatment and adequate blood flow to the affected area. Call the local wound-care team to schedule an appointment.
