Planning your visit
Patients are evaluated before treatment, and a hyperbaric-trained physician sets the treatment course. The New Patient Orientation covers preparation and questions; it is usually held by phone about a week before the first appointment. The center provides approved cotton clothing, lockers, blankets and pillows. Arrive without lotions, perfume, cosmetics, hair products or deodorant, and leave electronics and jewelry outside the chamber. Notify the clinic before attending if you have cold or flu symptoms. Technologists monitor sessions and communicate through an intercom; entertainment is available.
