Planning your visit
You may be referred by a physician or book an appointment directly. At your first visit, a wound-care physician reviews your history and performs an examination, orders tests if needed and develops a treatment plan. Progress reports are shared with you and your primary care or referring physician. HBOT sessions last about two hours. You can bring DVDs or CDs to play outside the clear chamber or watch cable television; reading materials, electronics and jewelry stay outside during treatment.
