About

Whole-Body Medicine is the medical practice of Breiner Whole-Body Health Center in Fairfield, which brings it together with a separate dental practice under one roof. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is offered through The NeuroEdge, the practice's brain performance center, in a clear single-person (monoplace) chamber, and the HBOT team includes practice director Dr. Adam Breiner, a naturopathic physician. The clinic lists traumatic brain injury, stroke, autism, Lyme disease, long COVID and slow-healing wounds among the conditions it treats with HBOT, often combined with other therapies.

Planning your visit

HBOT starts with scheduling a consultation with the practice's integrative care team, and the team reviews each patient's health history before treatment begins to confirm HBOT is appropriate. During a session the patient lies back in a clear single-person chamber and breathes normally while it is pressurized to 1.5–2 times normal atmospheric pressure; temporary ear pressure, similar to flying, is the most common sensation, and the team stays with the patient throughout each treatment. The number and intensity of sessions are set in an individualized plan based on the patient's condition and goals, and adjusted as the patient progresses.
