Planning your visit
Most HBOT sessions last less than two hours. The center provides the cotton garment required inside the chamber. Leave hearing aids, makeup, nail polish, perfume/aftershave, jewelry, watches, coins, wigs, hair products and alcohol- or petroleum-based products outside. Ask the technician before wearing contact lenses. The technician explains how to clear ear pressure during treatment. The center asks patients to avoid tobacco throughout the course of therapy. Staff develop an individualized plan, monitor healing and teach home wound care.
