About
Wound Evolution's Little Rock clinic is one of the company's wound care and hyperbaric medicine locations. The location page lists wound care, venous leg ulcer care, compression therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which the team provides onsite as an outpatient procedure. Rachel Mevissen, MD, described as board-certified and a Certified Wound Specialist Physician, has been the location's medical director since 2024, and Katrina Gallivan, APRN, is also listed among the location's providers. Planning your visit
Wound Evolution evaluates patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy with a physical exam and a review of medical history, lifestyle and symptoms. Sessions last about two hours; patients sit or lie down and breathe oxygen through a lightweight mask or hood, and ears may pop as pressure changes. Before a session, patients are asked to remove hair products and petroleum-based skin products and to hand over cell phones and other electronics. Most patients need multiple treatments, and the number is recommended at the evaluation based on the wound type, its severity and how it responds.
